Wizzypage Help Documentation (continued)
Text Editor:
Basic Functions:
The Wizzypage text editor has many of the basic editing functions found in word processors: Select a range of text and then click the [BOLD], [ITALIC], [UNDERLINE] or [FONT COLOR CHANGE] button to apply a change. Text alignment works differently than with regular word processors though: Alignment (whether left, right, centered or justified) can only apply to the whole text area, not individual paragraphs within the area. Another limitation of the rich text editor used in Wizzypage is that justification cannot be previewed directly inside of the editor. After closing the text editor, you can view the effects of justification on the main editing surface.
*Warning* Remember to click the [done] button when you are finished editing to make sure your changes are saved to the web page. Clicking the "X" in the top right corner cancels any changes.)
Link Editing:
Select a word or phrase and click the link button (arrow icon) to add an html link to a Wizzypage text area. A dialog will pop up with a text input area for you to enter the desired web site or web page URL (eg. "http://www.esoteric-sensationalism.com").
Check Spelling:
Click the spelling button [abc] to check the spelling of the current text area contents. When an incorrectly spelled word is encountered, a dialog will open listing possible corrections:
Correct the word directly in the popup by either selecting one of the suggested replacements (if any) or retyping it yourself. Click the [update] button to substitute the incorrectly spelled word from the text area with it's new, correctly spelled replacement. If you know that the word was correctly spelled, but not found in the Wizzypage dictionary, you can avoid having the word flagged next time by clicking the [add to dictionary] button. If you do not want to correct the word or add it to the word dictionary, click the [ignore] button and the spell checker will continue checking the rest of the text area.
Wizzypage FTP Uploader:
The Wizzypage Uploader performs most of the basic functions you will find in a ftp application. It allows you to transfer files from your local computer to an Internet server [Upload] or transfer files from a server back to your local computer hard disk [Download]. When the Uploader opens, it shows you the files in the current working folder (as displayed in the folder dropdown on the main screen). It is best to do a Save before starting a ftp session, to make sure any images used by the current page are easily accessible. To upload or download, you must first have a web hosting account. You need the server URL (usually "ftp.yourdomain.com") plus your user ID and password. After you have entered these values in the Wizzypage Uploader, click the [Connect] button to make a connection with the server. Once a connection is made, the server files already in your account will be listed. To make a connection to a different ftp account, click the [New] button: this will disconnect your current session and blank out the account details. If you check "Save Login Details" before closing the Uploader, the currently displayed hosting account details will be filled in automatically the next time you start the Uploader. *NOTE* The Wizzypage Uploader cannot transfer whole folders at once. Neither can it delete non-empty server folders.
